Victory eludes Mets on final pitch with Tigers, 11-10 -
It was a seesaw affair all night long (five lead changes), completely different than the defensive struggle the last time these two teams met, with both the Mets and the Tigers putting up their largest offensive outputs of the season to date. The Mets put five runs on the board in the top of the third. Ryan Mastele’s bases-clearing smash double to left, the sixth Met hit of the inning, put the Mets up 5-4 going into the home half of the third. Victoria Oberst led off and finished the fifth inning with singles. Kian Delaney and Josh Koval turned in strong defensive plays. Mets outfielders routinely held Tigers' hitters to fewer bases than they could have achieved. Mastele was 4-for-5 with one run scored and four RBIs. Seth Faller was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI. Oberst was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Tazmon Wilson was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Mets drop holiday weekend thriller to Tigers, 3-1 -
The Mets' gloves were hot today, recording five put-outs at second base (all five of them involving Josh Koval with several assists from Tazmon Wilson at third), two unassisted put-outs at first by Richie Boscardin, and an excellent catch of a fly ball at third by the Taz Man. Offensively, Jacob Uccellini, Ryan Mastele, and Timothy Sharkey were each 2-for-3.

Perry Red edges Mets 4-3: After the first game jitters, the Mets came ready to play against Perry Red. The teams exchanged runs until Perry went ahead in the top of the sixth to come away with the win. The Mets played well on defense with Tazmon Wilson and Jake Uccellini turning a double play. Richie Boscardin had two put-outs at first base, and Timmy Sharkey had a put-out a third base. The next game is Saturday when the Mets host the Tigers on Field 5 at 12:30.
